QTP is a theatre & arts management company that specialises in unique and engaging experiences for live audiences.
For the last fifteen years, QTP has been producing its own work as well as touring remarkable international plays from the US, UK, China, and Canada. Their productions include the critically acclaimed So Many Socks, the laugh riot The President is Coming, the long running Khatijabai of Karmali Terrace and the successful A Peasant of El Salvador. They also manage Tata Literature Live! The Mumbai International Literary Festival, which takes place each November; and the youth theatre movement Thespo which is now in its 16th year. The various India tours that they have managed include HeLa (2014), The Tricky Part & All The Rage (2014), Mind Walking (2011) and To The Death of My Own Family (2007). They were also instrumental in building international collaborations like Nirbhaya (2013), Gates to India Song (2013), and A Midsummer Night's Dream (2006-9).
Nadir Khan has been actively involved with the theatre since 1998 as director, actor, producer, sound & light technician and stage manager. He is a co-founder of Q Theatre Productions and a partner in The Industrial Theatre Co. Nadir is also involved with radio drama in the UK and has, so far, line-produced and acted in a number of productions with BBC Radio 3 and 4, including the award winning A Suitable Boy and Q&A. In addition to the theatre, he has also been working in the radio industry in Mumbai since 2001 as a disc jockey, programmer, producer and voice-over professional.
Quasar, known to his friends as Q, is a director, producer, trainer and most importantly an avid watcher of all things theatrical. In the past he has been curator of the theatre section for the Kala Ghoda Festival, Prithvi Festival platforms and the Mumbai Theatre Utsav. Currently he heads the Performing Arts section for Literature Live! (The Mumbai International Literature Festival). Internationally he has worked on Tim Supple's spectacular production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, the aerial drama Mind Walking and the British Council's musical production of Hayavadana. He is drawn to stories with social and political relevance and his plays A Peasant of El Salvador, Khatijabai of Karmali Terrace, Project S.T.R.I.P. and So Many Socks have been critically acclaimed across the country. He is also one of the founding members of Thespo - India's premier youth theatre festival - which is now in it's 17th year.
Armed with brilliantly written scripts and abundant talent, Q Theatre Productions has charmed audiences worldwide. Their extensive collection of plays include So Many Socks, The President is Coming, Khatijabai of Karmali Terrace and A Peasant of El Salvador, to name a few.
